Statement on Data Protection and Confidentiality of Your answers

TNS NIPO B.V., part of TNS, is a member of the MOA (www.moaweb.nl), Center for Information Based Decision Making & Marketing Research) which is an association of companies and institutions, which engage in marketing research and marketing intelligence).

TNS NIPO is fully ISO-certified and conforms to all international legislation codes of conduct for market and socio-scientific research.

All TNS NIPO projects are carried out in accordance with the procedures that enable us to safeguard quality and guarantee legislative frameworks, TNS NIPO is certified for:

ICC/ESOMAR Code of Conduct

TNS NIPO conforms to the international ICC/ESOMAR Code of Conduct for market and socio-scientific research (www.esomar.org). Every assignment carried out by TNS NIPO is done with due consideration for this code of conduct. All TNS NIPO staff are subject to a duty of confidentiality, including interviewers and coders.

Privacy legislation

TNS NIPO complies with all applicable privacy legislation. The anonymity of respondents is strictly safeguarded. In the absence of permission from the respondents, we will not supply any survey results to a client in which name and address details can be associated with results.

What will be done with your answers?

  1. Please fill in your answers on the questionnaire personally, e.g.:

  2. As soon as your data arrives at TNS NIPO, the question section is checked and then, in case you want to remain anonymous, separated from the User-ID. Thereafter nobody looking to your answers will be able to identify from whom they come. Any given personal data remains with TNS NIPO, but only for a period of 12 months.
  3. Your interview data will be converted into numbers, without your name and User-ID (unless you gave explicit consent), and then saved on a database. Subsequently, the interview data (without name and User-ID) will be processed by a computer.
  4. The total results as well as the results from groups (e.g. Travel reason: business or personal) will then be listed in tables.

You can be absolutely sure that TNS NIPO

  • After the end of the entire research will not combine your name or your User-ID with your answers unless you gave your explicit consent.
  • Will never give your name or User-ID to a third party.
  • Will absolutely not deliver any data which will allow a third party to identify you.
